Found in crown laters of lower and upper montane forests and forest edges; at c. 1,050-2,030 m. 11 cm. Resident from W. Himalayas through S China to Peninsular malaysia, Sumatra, java, Borneo, the Philippines, Sulawesi, and the Lesser Sundras.
