Sometimes spelt mynah, and was formerly known simply as Hill Mynah. Range across hill regions of South Asia and Southeast Asia. 29 cm long. Often found in agricultural crops. Very loud noisy bird, often kept as pets.

Also known as Asian Openbill Stork. Found mainly on the Indian sub-continent and South-East Asia.   68 cm in height. Found in inland wetlands, rarely seen along river banks or tidal flats. Feed on larger mollusc. During hot part of the day soar on thermals high above feeding areas.
