Common resident, originated from introduced stock and escapees; found in secondary scrub, old plantations, parkland. 32 cm. Distribution: Tanimbar and Kai Islands in S Maluku; introduced to Taiwan and Singapore.

Common in primary and secondary forest, old plantations and scrub adjacent to inland water bodies, less frequently in coastal areas. 69-74 cm. Distribution: Indian sub-continent, S China and much of Southeast Asia, east to Sulawesi.
