Found in open grassy areas with bushes, stony riverbeds with trees, bushes in cultivation, and open forest. 15 cm. Widespread, frequent winter visitor.

Found around thick forest with dense undergrowth, often near water, also well-wooded areas in winter. 26-27 cm. Locally fairly common partial migrant.
