Split Intermediate Egret into three species on 23 September 2023: Yellow-billed Egret, Plumed Egret and Intermediate Egret. Intermediate Egret is found from Russia to Japan to South Indian Ocean and Greater Sundra. Stalks prey in shallow coastal or fresh water and flooded fields. Eats fish, frogs, crustaceans and insects.

NOTE: Formerly treated as conspecific with White-vented Myna A cinereus.

It is found in Northeast India, Bangladesh and Southeast Asia. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical mangrove forests.

Found in grasslands and pastures as well as nearby wetlands such as rice paddies; seeks company of cattle or buffalo feeding on the insects they disturb. 50-55 cm. Originally native to parts of Asia, Africa, and Europe, it has undergone a rapid expansion in its distribution and successfully colonised much of the rest of the world in the last century. It is the only member of the monotypic genus Bubulcus, although some authorities regard its two subspecies as full species, the western cattle egret and the eastern cattle egret.

Found from West Asia and Central Asia to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. About sixteen subspecies are recognized through its wide range with many island forms. It is a familiar bird of countryside and open scrub or grassland where it is found perched at the top of short thorn trees or other shrubs, looking out for insect prey.

The Amur Stonechat or Stejneger's stonechat (Saxicola stejnegeri) is a species of stonechat native to eastern Asia. It breeds in central and eastern Siberia, Japan, Korea, northeastern China, and eastern Mongolia, and migrates south to southern China and Indochina in winter.[1]

Cotton Pygmy-goose or Cotton Teal (Nettapus coromandelianus) is a small perching duck which breeds in Asia, Southeast Asia extending south and east to Queensland where they are sometimes called White-quilled Pygmy-goose.

Also known as the Eurasian Kingfisher and River Kingfisher with seven subspecies recognized within its wide distribution across Eurasia and North Africa. It is resident in much of its range, but migrates from areas where rivers freeze in winter.

Found on marshes, lakes and tanks with floating vegetation. They are found in tropical Asia from Yemen in the west to the Philippines in the east and move seasonally in parts of their range. They are the only jacanas that migrate long distances and have different non-breeding and breeding plumages.

Indochinese roller (Coracias affinis) or Burmese roller. It occurs widely from eastern India to Myanmar and Southeast Asia.

It is also called the Mountain Dove, Pearl-necked Dove, Lace-necked Dove, and Spotted Turtle-dove. Common resident breeding bird across its native range on the Indian subcontinent and in Southeast Asia. The species has been introduced to many parts of the world and feral populations have become established.

Also known as the Plain Wren-warbler or White-browed Wren-warbler. Found in southeast Asia. It is a resident breeder from Pakistan and India to south China and southeast Asia.
