AUSTRALIA (333)
20-23 cm. Ranges all over mainland Australia, sparse in inland, rarely found in Tasmania; breeds in n. Eurasia to ne. Siberia, migrates to Australia in summer. Found ion muddy margins of wetlands, tidal mangroves; margins of tidal flats; saltmarshes, sewerage ponds.
