Also known as Black-cap. Endemic to Tasmnia. 12.5-14.5 cm. Endemic to Tasmania; King Is.,and Furneaux Group; in T. range is n. and e. Found in drier eucalypt forests, woodlands, coastal heaths, orchards and gardens.

  1. he is a little beauty - the stark black head is a lovely contrast to the earthy colours on the body and wings - Tasmania has some treasures too
