Also known as Black Goshawk and Great Sparrowhawk. Found in forests and non-desert areas south of the Sahara. Likes areas where there are tall trees for nesting, but also human altered habitat. Preys on birds of moderate size in suburban areas. 40-54 cm, wingspan 77-105 cm.
