24-32 cm. Often heard in rainforests, making the noise of a cat or a baby crying. ranges down the e. coast and Great Divide from s. of Gladstone, Queensland to s. of Narooma, NSW. Found in mountain and lowland rain forests, densely forested gullies, paperbark and other watercourses.
he is beautiful - the colours and delicate patterns are lovely - you would expect them to make a more pleasing sound then a cat or crying baby
