Found in roadbeds and vegetation at wetland edges. 38 cm. Fairly rare breeding resident in lowlands; common winter migrant to lowlands and up to lower hills and occasionally higher altitude.
Found in open wooded areas. 23 cm. Rather uncommon breeding resident locally from lowlands to mid hills; rarer and more local from wet lowlands up to hills.
Found in forests, well-wooded and open wooded areas. 17-18 cm. Uncommon breeding resident throughout dry lowlands and up to dry mid hills; also a rare scattered population in wet lower hills near Kandy.
Endemic. Found in dense forest, and catchments of reservoirs and riverine forests in dry zones. 34 cm. Uncommon, throughout Sri Lanka; mainly in wet zone, local and rarer in dry zone and hills.
Also called Ashy-crowned Finch Lark. Found in open areas. 12 cm. Locally, fairly common breeding resident in dry lowlands, visits wet zone, and rarely hills.
