Also called Smoke Hawk. 50-61 cm; wingspan to 1.2 m. range all over mainland Australia. Found on grassy plains, crops and stubble fields, bluebush, saltbush, spinifex associations, scrublands, mallee, heathlands, open grassy woodlands.
