Found in gardens, orchards, plantations, secondary woodlands and mangroves, extends to edges of logged forests, cultivation and forested riverbanks. 20 cm. Resident throughout Indian sub-continent, southern third China and SE Asia to Peninsula Malaysia, Singapore, Sumatra, Borneo, Java, Bali and most of Philippines.

Found in gardens, scrub, open forests, cultivation, avoids interior of wet forest. 23 cm. Common breeding resident throughout Sri Lanka.

Found in forest edges, mangroves, forest edges, scrub, parkland and occasionally urban areas. 20 cm. Indian sub-continent, S and SE China, mainland Southeast Asia, Thai-malay peninsula, and Greater Sundas.
