Very common resident of secondary scrub, mangrove edges, old plantations, grasslands, parkland and urban areas. 30 cm. Distribution: Indian sub-continent, S and E China across mainland Southeast Asia, Thai-Malay Peninsula, Greater Sundas and Palawan; widely introduced worldwide.
