Originated from escapees. Found in secondary forests, scrubs, old plantations and occasionally parkland. 27 cm. Distribution: Himalayan foothills, E India to S China and mainland Southeast Asia; Thai-Malay Peninsula to northern half of Peninsula Malaysia,; also introduced into Bali, Java and Singapore.
