For a long while this was considered a sub-species of the Little Wattlebird, but has now been recognised as a separate species. 32-36 cm. Range across sw WA.

Largest honeyeater, 37-45 cm. Endemic to Tasmania, rarely found in w. Found in mountain shrubberies, sub-alpine forests to lowland forests; open woodlands; coastal scrubs, especially with banksia, golf courses, gardens, orchards, parks.

Also known as Brush Wattlebird. Ranges across sw corner of WA, Tasmania and along coast from Adelaide to above Brisbane. Found in banksia/eucalyptus woodlands, heathlands, tea-tree scrub, sand plain-heaths. 26-31 cm.

Noisy bird found in eucalyptus forests, woodlands, scrubs, mallee, costal scrubs, parks, roadside trees. Ranges across bottom third of mainland. 33-36 cm.
