Found on farmland, grassland, forest edges. usually small flocks, foraging on ground. Common on King Island and Flinder's Island.

Found in farmland, especially where good cover. Male 120 cm, female 90 cm. A North America introduction which is now common across North Island and the north of South Island.

Also known as Scrub Turkey. 60-70 cm. Range from coastal Illawarra to Cape York. Found in rain forests and scrubs. Can be a pest around picnic areas, colony at Northbridge in Sydney.
