Found in paddy fields, long grass, scrub and reedy marshes. 13 cm. Locally common breeding resident throughout Sri Lanka, more abundant in dry zone.

Found in tall grass, scrubs and paddy fields. 13 cm. Fairly common breeding resident, locally throughout Sri Lanka, particularly in dry zone.
