Also known as Indian Crow, Greynecked Crow, Ceylon Crow or Colombo Crow. Range India, Nepal and Bangladesh, but although Asian in origin it has now spread to many parts of the world. Individuals sometimes arrive in Australia by ship but it is considered a threat and they have been exterminated.

Found in open forest and woodland, open areas and cultivation, urban areas, mangroves, up to 1,525 m. Resident Sandra's, Philippines; uncommon to common resident S Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Singapore, Indochina, S Tenasserim.

Found in towns, villages and around human habitat. 42 cm. Normally resident from Afghanistan eastwards through Indian sub-continent and S China to SW Thailand; present in Malaysian Peninsula since c. 1904.

Also known as Indian Crow, Greynecked Crow, Ceylon Crow or Colombo Crow. Range India, Nepal and Bangladesh, but although Asian in origin it has now spread to many parts of the world. Introduced into Singapore but now one of only 6 species it is legal to kill.

Smallest, shortest legged of the Aust. corvids. 45-48 cm. Found in mallee, mulga, other acacia scrubs, tambourin watercourses; grasslands; deserts, near treeless plains, coastal woodlands, farmlands, abattoirs, towns. Range: Inland and w. Aust., coastal islands.

Range: from c. Raymond Terrace (e. NSW), throughout n. and inland Aust. (except far sw Q. and driest deserts); s. through s. NT to Mann, Musgrave and Everard Rs.-Eringa (nw. SA); in WA, s. coastally to c. Geraldton, s. to c. Corrigin-Norseman.

Arrived in Australia by ship but has been exterminated. Populations always associated with humans, living largely off human refuse.

HOODED CROW

Also known as Hoodiecrow, or locally as Danish Crow, Scotch Crow, and Corbie or Grey Crow in Ireland. It is found across Northern, Eastern and Southeastern Europe, as well as parts of the Middle East. 48-52 cm, wingspan 98 cm, weight averages 510 grams. It is an omnivore; will open mollusc and crabs by dropping them; will also hide food to eat later.
