Found primary and secondary forests, old plantations, mangroves and scrub, usually near inland water or coast. 69-85 cm. Coastal parts of peninsular and E India, S China and much of Southeast Asia, east to Maluka, New Guinea and Australia.

Also known as White-bellied Fish-eagle. 70 cm. Mainly a coastal bird found on remote sea shores and offshore islands, also ventures up large rivers and visits reservoirs inland. Range: Orietal region and Australasia: widespread throughout the Indonesian archipelago; sedentary.

Also known as the White-breasted Sea-eagle. It is 70-90cms with a wing span of about 2 metres. Generally the female is the larger bird. Found around lakes, ocean, river and large bodies of water. Distributed right around the coast of Australia for a distance inland; also found in India, SE Asia, PNG and Solomon Islands.
