Common resident and migrant to secondary forests, mangroves, old plantations, scrub, parkland and urban areas. 26 cm. Indian sub-continent and much of China north to E Russia and Japan; also across much of mainland Southeast Asia, Greater ad Lesser Sundra, Philippines and Sulawesi.
