Only found in montane forest at c. 900-1,900 m., in the canopy and mid-levels of operand lower montane forest and along forested roadsides. 19 cm. Resident from W. Himalayan foothills through S China to Hainan, and in Southeast Asia to the mountains of Peninsular Malaysia.
