Range down e. coast and highlands and in Tasmania. Found in heavily vegetated gullies in forests,woodlands, coastal forests and woodlands, open country. 15-17 cm.

    a delicate little one - the first image is just beautiful - his feathers have a satin like sheen - you can see where his name comes from
